WHAT WILL YOU DO

Core responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and consultants to conduct BBBEE assessments
  • Collect and analyse data related to BBBEE compliance, including ownership, management control, employment equity, skills development, procurement, socio- and enterprise development.
  • Monitor BBBEE compliance and report to shareholders and other stakeholders as and when required.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BBBEE legislation and industry trends to ensure accurate analysis and compliance
  • Liaise with stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation for BBBEE assessments
  • Support in implementing strategies to improve BBBEE scorecards
  • Contribute to the development of BBBEE compliance strategies and action plans
  • Maintain organised records of BBBEE data and compliance documentation
  • Conducting periodical audits on all ED elements of the BBBEE scorecard
  • Preparation of Reports (including Social and Ethics Committees and Boards) and forecasts for shareholders, financiers and Buyers.
  • Ensure all regulatory & statutory submissions are submitted on time and to the correct standards

What we require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a related discipline is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in BBBEE implementation and management, preferably within the Renewable Energy industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating and implementing BBBEE audits.
  • The position may require travel to remote project sites and communities.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Excellent Analytical skills.

  • Strong understanding of social performance principles, including impact assessment and management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of BBBEE regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Read, write and speak in English and one other South African language
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy project development sector and the process to develop utility scale wind and solar projects would be an advantage.
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills.
