The primary role of the HSE Officer is to ensure a safe working environment to include people, property, environment and reputation and complying with all owner obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and maintain plant SHE management programs and systems in written format and recording and through face to face contact, communication and team briefing.
  • To support line management in delivering Site SHE objectives on site.
  • Facilitate all Owner internal and external audits to include action items and close out.
  • Monthly report: all activities environment, waste disposal, effluent, any incident & investigation, total manhours, lost time injuries, man hours sub-contractors, DOL submission on man hours, training, survey results, water.
  • Lead, develop and maintain plant SHE management programs and systems in written format and recording and through face to face contact, communication and team briefing.
  • To support line management in delivering Site SHE objectives on site.

Qualification Required

  • Matric
  • Degree or National Diploma in Safety Management (HSE)
  • Three (3) years experience in safety, health and environment
  • Knowledge/Understanding of ISO 45001, 14001, 18001 & 9001
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Medically fit
  • Driver’s license
  • SAIOSH/SACPCMP registration will be an added advantage
